Mobile Ag Lab and Ag on the Go

Jun 01 – Aug 31: The PA Friends of Ag provides STEM rich educational activities within agriculture. The Mobile Ag Ed Science Lab program has brought hands-on ag science lessons to over 1 million students across Pennsylvania since its start in 2003 -Ag on the Go, now in its 2nd year, is reaching more urban, low-income schools that have not been able to get to with the Mobile Ag Lab in the past.

Lancaster Allied Health Career Pathway Program

Jun 15 – May 27: The Lancaster County Allied Health Career Pathway Program is a school-to-workforce pathway designed for high school students, particularly rising seniors, to explore, prepare for, and enter allied health careers that do not require a four-year degree. The program is built around a three-phase pathway framework, Explore, Plan, and Train, and is supported by strong school partnerships, healthcare employers, credentialing providers, and workforce organizations. Sismantle Tech Program at Bright Side Opportunities Center

Jun 22 – Jul 31: Sismantle{Tech} is a 6-week summer program, running from June 22 to July 31, 2026, designed for high school girls who dream big and want to make their mark in the world of technology. By joining Sismantle{Tech}, you become part of a vibrant sisterhood that helps you learn valuable skills, from cybersecurity basics and tech problem-solving to professional leadership and financial literacy. The program offers minds-on, hands-on training with real-world tools, mentorship from industry experts, and inspiring workshops that build confidence and open doors to in-demand careers in technology.

Momentum Coding Academy

Jun 29 – Aug 07: Elizabethtown College’s nationally recognized School of Engineering and Computer Science, in collaboration with the Lancaster County STEM Alliance and Cargas, will host the Momentum Summer Coding Academy, a six week summer program aiming to ignite high school students’ interest in STEM, particularly computer programming. The Academy strives to expose students to the excitement and career prospects within the programming field while providing students with college credit. Workforce 2030 Summit

Oct 15 – Oct 15: The Workforce 2030 Summit is an annual cross-sector gathering of business, education, nonprofit, and government leaders committed to building a thriving, future-ready workforce. Over the past decade, our community has built strong partnerships, broken down barriers, launched innovative programs, and expanded access to career-connected learning. Across the county, leaders are working together to strengthen a workforce ecosystem where: Every resident can access opportunity. Every employer can find the talent they need. Every organization works in sync to grow our economy. This shared vision reflects a simple truth: a healthy workforce system benefits the entire community, and alignment across sectors is essential to long-term prosperity. Hosted by the Lancaster County STEM Alliance in partnership with the Lancaster County Workforce Development Board and the Lancaster Chamber, this year’s Summit is designed to align partners, resources, and strategies to create a coordinated, transparent, and effective workforce ecosystem. No single organization can meet the full range of workforce needs. But together, we can close skill gaps, strengthen pathways from education to employment, and remove barriers that limit participation and growth. What to Expect: Nationally recognized keynote speaker Mark Perna A leading voice in education-to-career alignment and author of Answering Why, Mark will challenge and inspire us to rethink engagement, motivation, and workforce strategy for the next generation. All attendees will receive a copy of his book. High-impact cross-sector networking Structured time to build meaningful partnerships across business, education, nonprofit, and government sectors. $100,000 in Idea Incubator Grant Funding Participating organizations who collaborate to develop innovative, asset-based workforce solutions will be eligible to apply for Idea Incubator funds to support implementation in Lancaster County. A focus on strengths, not shortages This Summit will highlight what’s working, elevate local success stories, and mobilize collective action to ensure everyone has a pathway to opportunity.

Nov 06 – Nov 06: Celebrate Educators Making a Difference: Excellence in Education Awards Join us on Friday, November 6th, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Millersville University’s Biemesderfer Hall for an inspiring evening honoring outstanding educators and future teachers shaping the next generation. The evening will begin with a reception and networking opportunity, featuring heavy appetizers and an open bar, followed by a keynote presentation and the announcement of the Excellence in Education Awards.
