Educator Opportunities
Lancaster County teachers may be able to help. One of the most effective ways to help educators understand the knowledge, skills, and traits your employees need to be successful is to add them to your payroll for the summer. This project will match teachers seeking summer employment with companies who might benefit from their expertise. In addition, the Lancaster County STEM Alliance will work with teachers to amplify their workplace learning by offering them a stipend of $500 to integrate what they learned from your company into their regular classroom instruction. What better way to connect with your future workforce and spread the word about the great work you’re doing in Lancaster County?

STEM LEARNING LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The STEM Learning Leadership Academy has three parts: 5 days of professional development on what it means to be a STEM / Work-Based Learning Teacher Leader; five weeks of paid summer employment in a STEM position with one of our industry partners; 60 hours of action research during the 2020-2021 school year. The intent of this program is to both create a cadre of teacher leaders who can help guide their district work-based learning efforts and also to generate a body of practitioner research related to transferring learning from the workplace to the classroom.
