The Lancaster County STEM Alliance (LCSA) is dedicated to advancing STEM initiatives in Lancaster County through grant funding. Our grants aim to support and foster innovative and creative STEM programs. Funding is available exclusively to nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organizations located within Lancaster County.

The Lancaster County STEM Alliance is devoted to evaluating the effectiveness of the programs we support and is dedicated to making decisions based on data. By actively gathering data and annually monitoring the success and challenges of our programs, we strive to optimize the impact of each dollar invested in the community. Our focus on data collection enables us to track outcomes over time, providing a comprehensive assessment not only of individual programs but also of the collective impact supporting STEM education and workforce development in Lancaster County

May 15 – May 15: This event provides an opportunity to connect with LCSA grant recipients and explore the diverse projects funded by LCSA, dedicated to fostering STEM education and workforce development throughout the county. We hope you will join us! This event is open to the public. Please feel free to extend this invite to anyone within your network! Light refreshments will be served!

Ready Set Explore! Slide into Summer: Harrisburg

May 31 – May 31: Pennon Education and WITF invite you to Slide into Summer with special guest, Molly from Molly of Denali! Saturday, May 31 10 AM – 1 PM WITF Public Media Center 4801 Lindle Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111 Ready, Set, Explore Slide into Summer offers families an opportunity to ignite summer learning and encourages collaborative problem solving through hands-on STEAM and environmental sustainability activities. Plus, each activity station connects to a book to inspire summer reading! Families and children can: Create a pinwheel to investigate how wind creates energy Code very hungry Ozobots “ants” to eat a picnic Build a bee hotel to support our local pollinators Design a rollercoaster to explore force and motion Plant a seed to watch it grow all summer long Children who attend will receive: A FREE copy of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (picture book or young reader’s edition) An opportunity to meet and take photos with Molly from Molly of Denali! The first 50 families to check in will receive a free STEM in a Box education kit packed with fun ways to keep the learning going all summer long! This summer learning opportunity is generously supported by the Anne M. & Philip H. Glatfelter III Family Foundation. Celebrate curiosity and creativity! Ready, Set, Explore activities encourage families to explore new ideas, unleash creative expression and engage with the world in meaningful ways. Ready, Set, Explore Slide into Summer are drop-in events, and we are usually busiest the first hour. We suggest planning to stay for at least an hour, and you can choose which activities to enjoy.

Jun 16 – Jun 18: Educator Industry Tours are intended to enhance classroom instruction, student learning, and career readiness for the workplace by connecting educators with local business and industry leaders and technical and career training centers. Educators will have an opportunity to participate in full-day, in-person tours.
