make717 is Lancaster County’s makerspace focusing on meeting the innovative and creative needs of makers in the area. Current offerings at make717 include laser cutting and etching, 3D printing, metal machining, wood and metal CNC, 2D/3D design software, electronics and coding, paint booth, sewing, and vinyl cutting.
Located on the Stevens on Orange campus of Thaddeus Stevens College but operating as an independent, registered non-profit, make717 encourages independent, project-based learning opportunities on a monthly membership basis with discounts for students, active service members, and families. Come with your ideas, learn how to use our equipment, and advance your skills with the guidance of members from many different skill areas.
The make717 scavenger hunt will lead you to the 3D printing, electronics and coding, laser/cutter and etching, Carvey CNC, and Tormach metal CNC major work areas within make717. Find the lighted ring of LEDs and record the letter in the center at each area.
